Gentlemen:
I assume you have received from Murray Senkus the
research, proposals prepared by A. D. Little and Battelle regarding~
the chemical behavior of environmental cigarette smoke. Since
most of you will be attending a morning meeting at the Tobacco
Institute on April 27, I suggest we also me~t that day to discuss
the research proposals.
I understand from Dr. Senkus that he will circulate the
Franklin proposal as soon as it is received. Apparently, the
proposal from Hazelton Laboratories will be delayed at least a
month. In view of this delay, I think we need to consider whether
to move ahead on the project without the Hazelton proposal.
For planning~ purposes, I think our me~ting on April 27
can. beg:in sometime between 1:30 and 2:00 p.m. and be completed by
4:00 p.m.
Best regards.
Cordially,
Patrick M. S~.rridge
