Increased stimulationimay lead to pan- creatitis (painful inflammation of pancreas). Alcohol (especially when taken with heavy and/or fat-containing meal) known contributor to acute pancreatitis. Chronic, excessive alcohol intake leads to chronic pancreatitis with recurrent, acute attacks. Reduce risk by avoiding heavy, fat-containing,meals taken With,alcohol and/or coffee.
