in accordance with our telephone conversation;
today, I am enclosing~ the materials that we discussed
concerning cigarette smoke and the nonsmoker. I also
am returning the materials that you sent to me.
I am sorry that I have not been able to provide
you with more encouragement for a legal challenge to
what you accurately d'escribed as the YMCA's "absurd and
arrogant" policy, but the fact is that federal and state
laws do not yet extend to the type of discrimination
of which you are a victim.
I hope that your efforts to change the organi-
zation's policy are successful, and I will be happy to
discuss the matter with you further if you feel it would
be useful.
